Questions & Answers

We have compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions about the Light Infuser.

Are the lights difficult to use?

No, the lights are easy to apply. You just require common sense and the ability to read your horse’s reaction.

Do I need a short course of instruction?
Yes, you will be able to get support and information from us. We have both phone and e-mail support. Just ask us!

Are there any known side effects?
No, there are no known side effects - just do not stare into the lights, as in close proximity to your eyes, they could cause damage to your eye parts.

When is the best time to light my horse?

Usually after exercise, when you are going to put your horse back into his stall for rest. The best results occur when the horse can rest for a few hours or until the next day.

How close to competition or racing can I light my horse?

I recommend that you allow three hours before competition. This allows the horse to be at his physical best. In normal situations where you are not dealing with an injury, just a tired horse, the night before when you are putting him away for the evening is a good time to light, as this allows the body to rest and recharge itself for the next day’s competition.

How soon after a competition can I light him?

It doesn’t matter. Immediately if necessary i.e. in cases of injury {blue light, acts as ice, soothing and settling}. The lights bring the horse back to relaxation.

How long do you need to leave the lights on one spot?

Seconds is all that is required to produce a reaction to the lights. You learn to read your horse’s body language, by his level of relaxation or agitation tells you how much more you have to do.

What sort of problems will the lights help?

Most noticeably, movement, range of motion and length of stride is improved. Muscle tightness in backs responds very well. An overall general improvement and well being is noticeable quickly.

Do you evaluate and put horses on rehabilitation schedules?

Yes. People bring horses in for evaluation, fitting and conditioning combined with herbs. We usually get them back on track; inside and out. Our experience of fitting and conditioning skills, along with the products on this website give people help they need to get the most out of their horse.
